If you are aiming for the Microsoft Certified Solutions Associate (MCSA) in Server 2012, this is the third and final week of preparation. For those who are striving for their Microsoft Certified Solutions Expert: Server Infrastructure, there are two more courses and exams: 70-413 and 70-414.

Course Overview

The advanced services course covers a wealth of topics, including: high availability configurations, dynamic access control, site-level fault tolerance, IPAM, trusts, Federation Services 2.1, Certificate Services, and Rights Management Services. As with the other Server 2012 courses, both Windows Server 2012 and Windows Server 2012 R2 will be used as part of the training material.

The labs consist of advanced configurations and deep exploration of Server 2012 technologies, with a heavy emphasis on virtualization with Hyper-V.

Prerequisites: Completion of the first two MCSA courses, or in-depth understanding of topics covered on exams 70-410 and 70-411.

Days 3-4: AD RMS and Federation Services

  • Overview of Active Directory Rights Management Services.
  • Deploying and Managing an AD RMS Infrastructure.

  • Implementing AD FS for a Single Organization.
  • Deploying AD FS in a B2B Federation scenario.
  • Network Load Balancing (NLB).
