Course: CCNA Routing and Switching 5 Day Boot Camp section 1

August 27, 2013 | By |

Course Overview

Topics covered include WANs, basic router security, network topologiesand media, routing and switching fundamentals, and of course, TCP/IP v4, v6, and the OSI model. You’ll get your hands on your own 2600 series router for the class, as well as a Catalyst 3500 series switch.

Hands-on labs are extremely important for this course, so we make sure to provide every student with his or her own equipment for the duration of the class. In addition, students will use Cisco Packet Tracer and GNS3: two invaluable (and free) software programs necessary for any aspiring Cisco professional.

Prerequisites: Basic knowledge of networking technologies is encouraged. Familiarity with computers and Windows-based systems is preferred. If you are a novice, we recommend taking the CompTIA+ courses first.
