To qualify for either upgrade track, one must have one of the following certifications: MCSA Windows Server 2008 or MCITP Virtualization Administrator on Windows Server 2008 R2, Enterprise Messaging Administrator 2010, Lync Server Administrator 2010, SharePoint Administrator 2010, or Enterprise Desktop Administrator on Windows 7.

The course relies heavily on the labs, which consist of configuring an Active Directory infrastructure, network services, failover, virtualization with Hyper-V, and other exam topics.

Prerequisites: Students who have certifications which can be upgraded to Server 2012.
