Chiang Mai is just over an hour from Bangkok by plane and there are plenty of flights available from Air Asia or Nok Air from as little as 1,500 baht ($45 USD). Here you can enjoy a cooler climate and a glimpse in to traditional Thai culture with plenty of activities like elephant trekking, white water rafting, mountain walks, cycling trips, museum trips, zoo visits or swim in one of Chiang Mai’s many waterfalls.

The Chiang Mai Zoo is located in a spectacular setting of flowers, exotic trees and plants. Inside you will find an interactive animal learning center and a wide variety of species from around the globe.
