Course: Windows Server 2008 Network Infrastructure, Configuring section 1

September 21, 2013 | By |

Course Overview

The basics are all here: DNS, DHCP, IPv4, IPv6, connection types, servers, network printers, remote access and administration, Windows Firewall, IPSEC, and more. All networking concepts relating to Exam 70-642 and more will be covered in detail.

We will also go over fault tolerant storage technologies, network storage, routing and remote access, monitoring, and security. Active Directory Domain Services (AD DS) integration with DNS is fundamental to a harmonious Server 2008 environment, so extra attention is devoted to DNS topics during the class.

Prerequisites: Knowledge of networking technologies, as well as Microsoft Server and desktop operating systems is preferred. For complete IT beginners, the CompTIA+ courses offered by IT Track is a good place to start before taking any Microsoft Server courses.
